Last night the open house meeting with members from the West Vancouver city council as well as skateboarders from the community, and around the lower mainland went down with the first public push for the new skateboard park. Check out the images below of some of the cities renderings of the parks current condition, obstacles being looked at adding to the park as well as images of current skateparks being looked at for design ideas.
Come out this evening to show your support and provide detailed input on the park’s design. The workshop has been setup so the skateboard community can have their say in how the park will look – from park flow to the type or obstacles that are used and their placement.
Where: West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Clubhouse. 650 20th Street, West Vancouver
When: Tuesday April 8th, 6pm.
The project will be only partially funded by the West Vancouver District so we need your help to see this project completed. A fund has been setup through the West Vancouver Community Foundation. Visit their website to make an online donation – the fund is called “Ambleside Skatepark Project” http://www.westvanfoundation.com/
