Ambleside Skatepark Project on Kickstarter

The Ambleside Skatepark Project

An initiative to re-design & re-build West Vancouver’s Ambleside Skatepark

West Vancouver’s iconic waterfront Ambleside Skatepark is in need of repair and Eric Savics is leading the charge to re-design and re-build the outdated and weathered skatepark.

Eric is working towards raising $150,000 total in funds to complete the project. He has raised half that already through corporate sponsorships, local organizations and members of the community.

Now it’s time for parents, skateboarders and youth athletic associations to join in. He has launched a project on Kickstarter and aims to raise $10,000 CAN by October 27th to help reach the projects main fundraising goal. The Kickstarter project has raised over $1,000 within its first two weeks and hopes to exceed its goal.

“We aim to begin construction in late spring 2015,” says Eric. “Our vision is to build a progressive and modern skate plaza like stoner park in Santa Monica.”

Nike SB Blazer Fly Milk Now Up For Auction!

Our newest eBay auction is now live – a pair of limited edition size 7 Nike SB Blazer Fly Milk shoes.

They are a tribute from Nike to Jeff, the owner of Fly Streetwear in Shanghai, who previously worked at a milk processing plant. The Nike Blazer SB takes its colours from the milk cartons in China, and the characters on the heel of the shoe translate to “milk”.

The shoe was designed by Matt Irving and even features a picture of Jeff “missing”, on the heel tab.

Check out the auction here, and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with the Ambleside Skatepark Project!

Fundraising Update

We are extremely happy to announce that we’ve passed the $65,000 mark for fundraising!

Go Skate Day at Ambleside was a huge success as well, bringing in close to $3,700 for the park renovation. This could not have been possible without the generous donations from Supra Distribution, Take 5 Trading, and Timebomb Trading. Thank you again.

The eBay auctions continue with boards being added weekly. Check out the listings here. This could not be possible without the generous board donations from Bob Kronbauer.

Stay posted for more updates as the Ambleside Skatepark Project continues.

Ambleside eBay Update

For those who missed it, here’s the link again to the eBay auction page. All proceeds from the sales go towards the Ambleside Skatepark renovation.

Again, a massive thank you to Bob Kronbauer for generously donating all of the items that we’ve sold and are continuing to sell.
